Every Admin page reworked

Users, the Directory, notifications, reports, billing and settings are each simpler to use, and the rules for who can change a sign-in email are tighter.

October 5, 2026 · 1.42.0

The Users page: six members with the owner, Alex Carter, first and Sam Rivera marked as you. Each person's role sits in a select, Leader or Team Member, with a menu beside it, under an Invite people button.

Why the Admin pages changed

The pages under Admin are where an owner or manager looks after the people in a handbook, reads what the team reported, and sets the handbook up. They had not been looked at as a whole for a long time. Every one of them was gone through: what was fiddly is simpler, and nothing they could do is lost.

People

Users lists the owner first, then managers, then the team, with your own row marked. Each person has their role beside their name and a menu to edit their profile or remove them, and removing someone says what happens before it does. Users and the Directory open the same profile editor, which works full screen on a phone.

Only the owner can change a manager's sign-in email, nobody can change the owner's from a handbook, and someone who belongs to two handbooks changes their own.

Notifications

A notification goes to everyone in the handbook or to people you pick by name. Send asks first and says how many people it is going to, and the page tells you if any emails could not be delivered. Choosing specific people and then picking nobody used to send it to everyone. It no longer can.

Checklist and tip reports

Checklist reports flag a reading outside its limit in the list itself, and can be narrowed to one person, shared checklists they joined included. Tip reports open on the last two weeks in your own time zone and say who reported each day. Correcting a report as a manager no longer adds you to it, and a blank amount is no longer saved as $0. On the team's own tip page, your share now counts only the reports you are on.

Settings, billing and features

Settings is split into cards with headings, in the order you would look for things, and a note at the bottom names any part you changed but have not saved. Renaming a handbook no longer changes its web address, and deleting one asks for its name. A new handbook's web address can now have a hyphen in it. Billing shows its status once, in plain words, with its dates in one list. Feature settings tells a manager up front that the owner makes changes there.

Setup wizard

On a phone the list of steps folds into one line with a menu, so the step you are on is on screen. Mark done moves on to the next step and saves what you typed first, and leaving a step with unsaved work asks.

Everything on this page started with somebody saying something was awkward. Questions count, and so does telling us a thing is harder than it should be.
