Fits a phone

Dialogs now take the whole screen on a phone and wide tables become cards. Editing a tip report opens a sheet of its own.

Three phone screens. The first is Edit tip report filling the screen, with the amount, the workers on the shift, and Cancel and Save at the bottom. The second shows resource streams as cards, each with its figures listed and edit and delete buttons at its top. The third is the Bulk Editor's item list with two items ticked, and Select all 19 and a Sort by field above it.

What went wrong on a phone

Most of the handbook already worked on a phone, but the places that did not were often the ones people open mid-shift. A dialog kept the margins it has on a desktop and left a narrow column in the middle of the screen. A wide table scrolled sideways, so its edit button sat off the edge. On Tip reports, a team member's Edit loaded the report into the form at the top of the page, a screen above where they had tapped.

Dialogs

Forms and views long enough to scroll, like a recipe, a guide, a training step or a waste entry, now take the whole screen on a phone, as editing a record already did. Shorter ones, like logging a shopping item or inviting someone, take the whole screen on a phone and stay a dialog on a tablet. A question asking you to confirm stays small.

Tables

Inventory history on the Forecast Center, the waste and resource streams in the Local Resource Economy, and the spend for items you focus on in Unit economics show a card for each row on a phone. Each card keeps its edit and delete buttons at the top.

The Bulk Editor lists its items with Select all and Sort by above them, and tapping anywhere on an item ticks it.

Tip reports and shared practices

Editing a tip report opens a sheet of its own, as it already did in the admin totals, and the form at the top stays ready for the next report. In Shared practices on a phone, choosing a practice brings its details up. They used to sit under the whole list, out of sight.
