Units and corrections in receipt review

Each receipt and invoice line now says how many you bought, in which unit, and what that comes to in the unit the item is counted in. Anything misread can be corrected.

An admin reviewing a Big Box Club receipt: the bread printed on 5 lines is Bought in 2-pack, so 5 at $8.98 comes to 10 Loaf at $4.49 per Loaf, with Remember 2-pack ticked, and the paper towels are corrected from 2 to 1 with the printed 2 kept beside the correction.

What went wrong

Warehouse club receipts often print an item with no unit at all, so bread that comes two loaves to a pack reads as a single line at the pack's price. The review counted each of those lines as one loaf. A shopper who logged ten loaves was told the receipt said five, and the price of a pack was recorded as the price of one loaf.

Nothing on the line let anybody say what one of that supplier's packs holds, and the only way out of a misread number was to skip the line.

What changed

Each line now reads as a sentence you can change: 5 × 2-pack at $9.69 = 10 Loaf, $4.85 per Loaf. Pick the unit the line was bought in from the item's units, or make a new one without leaving the review. Correct a quantity the reader misread, and an admin can correct a misread price. The printed numbers stay on the line beside the correction.

The totals check runs again as you correct, and a line whose printed quantity times price does not match its own printed total says so, which is usually the line to look at.

Remembering a supplier's unit

When an admin picks a unit for a line that printed none, the review offers to remember it for that supplier. The next receipt from the same supplier starts in that unit and says where it came from, so the second trip needs no fixing.

Receipts your team attaches

A receipt attached to a shopping trip now records the prices of items you already stock when the trip is saved, whoever saves it. Anyone on the team can pick the unit a line was bought in and fix a quantity. New items and price corrections stay with an admin, who confirms the rest from Invoices.
